The Role at a Glance
As an SLP on our team, your week will include:
- Client Care: Manage a caseload of 30-35 pediatric clients each week, providing comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions. Therapy is provided at the clinic site, virtually, and at schools and homes in the Ballard area.
- Family Partnership: Collaborate closely with families to provide support, guidance, and home program recommendations.
- Professional Development: Continuously enhance your clinical skills and knowledge though both independent and team driven learning opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Washington and active ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY under supervision.
- Experience: Proven experience working with children and families in clinical, school, or home-based settings.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple environments (in clinic, in home, virtual).
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification and familiarity with evidence-based pediatric intervention approaches.
Beneficial certifications & Focus Areas:
- Neurodiversity affirming practice: A strong commitment to strengths based, affirming care for Autistic and neurodivergent kids, including familiarity with Gestalt Language Processing and Natural Language Acquisition frameworks.
- AAC training: deep commitment to presuming competence and experience with feature matching and implementing high and low tech communication systems. Experience using and sharing knowledge with caregivers regarding Aided Language Stimulation and adapting AAC for Gestalt Language Processors.
- CAS specific training such as DTTC and PROMPT
- Hanen Certified
- DIR/Floortime certified
